My passion for classical music began as a young child learning the Cello. My love of creating things combined with my passion for music led to the ambiguous building of my first Cello as my final woodwork project in high school. I went on to study a Bachelor of Music majoring in Cello Performance at the University of Newcastle. Whist studying I worked part-time in a busy violin shop, Hunter Valley Violins.
I studied at the renown Newark School of Violin Making, in England, graduating with first-class honours in 2020. Whist in United Kingdom I worked for the internationally respected violin dealer of fine instruments Tim Toft. I was also awarded work experience with the first-class restorer of fine instruments , Iris Carr.
Returning to Australia I worked for accomplished Australian violin maker, Hugh Withycombe in Canberra, ACT before returning to the Central Coast in 2023 where Miranda Rose Violins has been brought to life.
