Typical maintenance repairs encompass tasks such as crafting new bridges, adjusting sound posts, fitting replacement nuts and pegs, smoothing fingerboards, sealing open seams, retouching varnish, and thoroughly cleaning instruments.

 Occasionally instruments may need a more significant restoration. This may be because of accidental damage, or be a family heirloom that hasn't been played in a while and is wanting to be brought back to life. 

This level of restoration may involve removing the instrument’s front to address and reinforce significant cracks in key areas, such as near the sound post or bass bar. It can also include neck grafts, patches, and considerable cosmetic repairs.

Regular servicing helps keeps your instrument in optimum condition and sounding its best. 

A service consists of  a comprehensive assessment of the instrument, lubrication of the pegs, lubrication or the nut and bridge string grooves, checking the bridge and post position ensuring they are fitting and in optimal positions and giving the instrument a thorough clean.
